    In cooperation with European Film Academy, Unifrance, Alliance Française, Goethe Institute Shanghai and CourtCourtRico.

    Screening of 3 short films:  (Germany), The Runner (Spain) and The Translator (UK / Turkey).

    Discussion and live performance with Olaf Taranczewski.

    Olaf Taranczewski is the music composer of the German short film Dissonance which won the best music at Annecy International Animation Film Festival in 2015 and the best director prize at Shenzhen International short film festival on Friday 24 November 2016.

    During this special event, you will be able to watch 3 European short films (subtitled in English and Chinese) which have all won awards in European major film festival. You will then have the opportunity to discuss with Olaf TARANCZEWSKI about the relation between music and film and listen to a live performance of great music themes of its own.

    A participation of 50 RMB will grant access to the screening and will include a nice glass of wine, beer, soda or juice. (Early bird price at 40 RMB for any booking before Tuesday December 6).

    Screening of 4 short films: Son of the Wolf (France), Dissonance (Germany), Picnic (Croatia) and Over (UK).

    Discussion with Lola Quivoron and Olaf  Taranczewski.

    Born in 1989 in Paris, Lola Quivoron completed a preparatory school, studied modern literature and obtained a Masters in Cinema. In 2012, she entered the Film Directing Department at LaFémis. She also practices photography. After two narrative short films and a short documentary directed within the school, SON OF THE WOLF is her fourth film.

China Indie Film is following up the successful Shanghai International Short Film Contest screening with a night of short films at the rooftop venue The Place Shanghai. We have collected some great short works of professionals working in the film industry here in China in Shanghai, Beijing and beyond and bringing them to you as great entertainment for a wintry evening. We will have some special additions to the mix with some international content including a selection from the Zimbabwe International Film Festival, midnight Internet vigilantes and we answer the question, does China REALLY love Trump?
